Financial Planning

Financial planning is the process of pursuing your life goals through the proper management of your finances. Life goals can include buying a home, saving for your child’s education, and/or planning for retirement. The financial planning process takes a long-term look at your present situation relative to where you want to be in the future, and determines what you must do to reach your goals.

This process involves setting life goals, gathering relevant financial information, and examining your current financial status, with the objective of developing a comprehensive financial plan. The resulting plan offers a detailed blueprint for how you can work toward your goals given your current situation and future plans. The advice we provide in this engagement is completely independent of where your investment assets are held. In other words, there is no requirement that we have custody of your investments or that you enter into an Investment Consulting or Wealth Management engagement with us.

Through our affiliation with Commonwealth Financial Network®, we offer a comprehensive financial planning process, we help you develop and then implement a personal financial plan that uniquely suits your needs, and addresses the following issues:

  • Financial Goal Planning, e.g. Retirement Income Planning

  • Portfolio Stress Testing and Monte Carlo Simulation
  • Life, Disability, and Long Term Care Insurance Needs Analysis
  • Tax Reduction Strategies

There may be occasions where you have specific financial planning issues for which you need advice on an à la carte basis. We charge an hourly rate for our advice on these and other specialized planning issues not included in the Financial Planning engagement.
